Paritta manages the implementation of the East-West Center Mekong Journalism Fellowship. Before joining EJN, Paritta worked as an award-winning journalist at the Bangkok Post, where she still writes a weekly column on politics, economics and the environment. She started her career as a landscape designer based in Vietnam, before briefly joining her architect friend to volunteer in India where she re-purposed her life for storytelling. In 2017, she was president of the Thai Society of Environmental Journalists, where she led projects to build the capacity of Thai and Mekong journalists. She likes immersing herself in anything about East Asia. She also loves music, art and patting her pets.
